IN MIRRORS I BELIEVE

In mirrors I see,

A silence so deep, yet I hear

The rippling of the surface

In mirrors I hear,

Colours of bright, a rainbow of light,

Yet RED: or white?

In the loneliness of my head,

And the quiet of my soul,

I'm a walking contradiction,

A fiction within reality, but am I?

On days I feel the most undeserving,

To the walls I pray,

A "strawberry lipstick state of mind"

As I dip my soul in chocolate hues

And harness it in gold.

The solitude I gift myself,

The Art Of Control,

I see,

I hear,

And in mirrors I seek.

  4. You beautifully worded how emotions change the way we feel about ourselves from time to time.. Idk if it was intentional, yet mirror is a great metaphor to express how we see or feel us.

    1. To me, the mirror was a direct reflection of us to see the parts of us we don't usually see every day, but I absolutely LOVE this interpretation. It's great seeing how poems bring out different perspectives to different people
