On the 25th of January 2020, the Orange County Police received a rather bizarre 911 call from a 42-year-old woman named Sarah Boone. She claimed that she and her boyfriend Jorge Torres Jr., also 42, were playing hide and seek the night before while being allegedly tipsy, border lining on being drunk. She reportedly put her boyfriend inside a suitcase, went upstairs and passed out on the bed. Reportedly, she woke up to her phone ringing in the morning and went downstairs to find her boyfriend dead inside the suitcase, whereas then she called 911 and reported the incident to the police.
"Uh my boyfriend and I were playing last night and.. I put him in a suitcase and we were playing"
"I fell asleep and I woke up and.. he was dead in the suitcase I don't know what happened"
"I don't know what happened like he has.. blood coming out of his mouth and.."
"He's purple!"
After confirming that Jorge Torres was actually dead, the police started questioning Sarah Boone and investigations began. The apartment was raided, and the police ran background checks on Sarah's mobile phone and laptop. It was then, in Sarah's phone that the police found evidence that turned Jorge's death from Accidental to Revenge Homicide. On Sarah's phone were two videos filmed by her of the blue suitcase in which a then-alive Jorge Torres was stuck inside. Torres was begging for his life while Boone laughed at him, accusing him of cheating on her and yelling at him to suffer the consequences of his own actions.

Upon initial investigation, it was tentatively revealed that Sarah Boone suffered from Narcissistic Personality Disorder, commonly known as NPD, where the person has an inflated sense of self-importance. She was very focused on herself and the abuse she endured in the hands of Jorge Torres prior to the incident, completely ignoring the charges she has herself on count of violence in 2018. She was shockingly lacking remorse, and claimed several times that she felt trapped in the cell she was placed in for questioning.
Sarah Boone was charged with second degree murder and trial dates are fixed for the 10th of April 2023.
